Five Keys: San Marcos tops Torrey Pines
It was a game that certainly lived up to the hype, as two of the county's top three teams (ranked No. 2 or No. 3 depending on the rankings you use) met in a nonleague contest Friday night.
But it was the San Marcos Knights who used a furious second half defensive effort to defeat Torrey Pines 58-48 in front of a frenzied home crowd. For the Knights, it was the first win against the Falcons since 2015, snapping a seven-game slide.
