Saints leave no doubt: A June Wrap up

With the June camp season in the books, we look back at some of the major storylines and try to make sense of where things are headed into the fall.




1 . Dominant Saints a lock for preseason No. 1

Last season's Open Division champs will open as the region's No. 1 team after breezing through June with an 18-1 record, the lone loss coming in the top division in Section 7 to a nationally ranked Columbus (FL) squad. The connectivity and experience of its starting five carries the day, and Jurian Dixon had the look of a player that wants to repeat as section player of the year. His performances at Section 7 and the SDSU were eye opening, and has resulted in a new infusion of interest on the recruiting trail, most notably from St. Mary's. Jaden Matingou closed June playing some of the best basketball of his career, earning his first D1 offer from UC San Diego after a big weekend at their team camp.
